1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Been there Dog Training.

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of this website and the purchase of any services provided by Been there Dog Training (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By accessing this website, booking a service, purchasing a service, or making a payment to Been there Dog Training, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use this website or purchase our services.

We provide dog training, behaviour support, coaching, educational resources, and related services online and/or in person.

3. Services

Our services may include:

  • Dog training sessions

  • Behaviour consultations

  • Coaching sessions

  • Online consultations

  • Workshops and classes

  • Digital resources and educational materials

  • Events and seminars

  • Additional related services

All services are provided on a best-efforts basis. We cannot guarantee specific training or behavioural outcomes because success depends on many factors, including consistency, environment, health, and client implementation.

4. Booking and Payment

Appointments are confirmed once payment has been received or alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

Payments are securely processed through Stripe and PayPal.

All prices are displayed in Euros (€).

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Changes will not affect services already booked and paid for.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are purchasing services as a consumer within the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

By completing a booking or making payment for a service scheduled to take place before the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period, you expressly request that Been There Dog Training begins providing the requested services immediately.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • your booking and payment constitute your express request for the service to begin before the end of the statutory withdrawal period;

  • if the service has been fully performed, your statutory right of withdrawal is lost to the extent permitted by applicable law;

  • if you cancel after the service has begun but before it has been fully performed, you may be required to pay for the portion of the service already provided.

For downloadable resources, digital guides, recordings, online courses, or other digital content supplied electronically, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that, once access has been provided, your statutory right of withdrawal is waived to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under Belgian or European consumer law.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Client Cancellations

Appointments cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment may be rescheduled without charge.

Appointments cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointment may be charged in full.

No-Shows

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notice may result in the session being forfeited without refund.

Trainer Cancellations

If we need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, an alternative appointment will be offered or a refund provided where appropriate.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Completed consultations, coaching sessions, behaviour assessments, and training sessions are generally non-refundable.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

8. Client Responsibilities

By booking services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about yourself and your dog

  • Disclose relevant behavioural history and safety concerns

  • Follow safety instructions provided during sessions

  • Ensure your dog is legally owned or under your lawful care

  • Ensure vaccinations and veterinary care are up to date where appropriate

You remain responsible for your dog at all times.

9. Behaviour and Safety

The welfare of both dogs and humans is our priority.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse services where safety is compromised

  • End a session if behaviour presents an unacceptable risk

  • Recommend veterinary or specialist behavioural support where appropriate

Clients are responsible for maintaining appropriate control of their dogs during training and consultations.

10. No Guarantee of Results

Training and behaviour modification involve living animals and human participation.

Because outcomes depend on factors beyond our control, we do not guarantee:

  • Specific behavioural changes

  • Timeframes for improvement

  • Permanent behavioural outcomes

Recommendations are provided based on professional knowledge and experience, but implementation remains the client’s responsibility.

11. Educational Information

Information provided through consultations, coaching, workshops, blog articles, social media content, emails, or downloadable materials is for educational purposes only.

Nothing provided by Been there Dog Training should be considered veterinary, legal, medical, or psychological advice.

Clients should seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website is owned by Been there Dog Training unless otherwise stated.

This includes:

  • Text

  • Graphics

  • Training materials

  • PDFs

  • Downloads

  • Branding

  • Logos

  • Images created for the business

  • Any other related content

Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, sold, or used commercially without prior written permission.

13. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website unlawfully

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to website systems

  • Introduce malicious software

  • Copy or exploit website content without permission

We reserve the right to restrict access where misuse occurs.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Been there Dog Training shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death and personal injury caused by negligence.

15. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather

  • Illness

  • Government restrictions

  • Technical failures

  • Natural disasters

16. Privacy

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using our services, you acknowledge that personal information may be processed as described in that policy.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Belgium.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Belgian courts.
